Moe's Valley Competition and Trail-Building Event

March 27, 2010, Desert Rat Productions is hosting a Competition and Trail-Building Event in Moe's Valley, Utah. Bring your Work Gloves, Bouldering stuff, and join us for an awesome day in Moe's, followed by a Party and Premier of our new video "The Dirty Southwest" at The Desert Rat gear store in St. George.

Competition

The Competition will be divided into Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced divisions with prizes distributed accordingly.
We have a ton of prizes lined up, including various Hangboards from Climbingholds.com
We also have some surprise prizes from 5.10 , Black Diamond, the Desert Rat Shop and others.

Trail-Building Event

Lately there has been a huge influx of new climbers to Moe's Valley. This has led to increased impact on the fragile area. It is time to take the initiative to minimize this impact by creating a concise network of trails. we will be building Cairns to mark intersections, delineating existing trails with rocks, etc. Trash cleanup is also a major priority, as some areas are littered with nails, random pieces of wood and glass. Your help will be greatly appreciated by everyone who enjoys this area. Bring your work gloves, shovel, rake, whatever you think will be useful for trail-building and cleanup.

"Moe's Valley Bouldering Guidebook" premiere

It's been a long time coming, and finally the Guidebook is done and will be available in Moe's in the morning, and is also available at The Desert Rat shop.

"The Dirty Southwest" Video Premiere and Party

The Desert Rat gear shop in St. George will be hosting a private party for event participants. As well as offering everyone a great discount on all gear, there will also be free "Refreshments" and the Competition Winners will be announced. We will then premiere our new Video, "The Dirty Southwest" and also have copies for sale.
